David William Johnson, 84, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 15, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Terry C. Johnson; son, Craig Johnson; and seven stepchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Clark Drexel Johnson.
Johnson was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 12 years coming from Washington, D.C.
He earned a Masters Degree in Law from George Washington University, Washington, D.C. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served 20 years in the Navy before his retirement in 1989 as Commander. He was an active member of Military Officers Association of America. David retired from the United States Department of Transportation, Washington D.C., as Senior Contract Officer.
