Theresa Hardee Turlington, 94, of Sebastian, passed away on May 8, 2014.
She is survived by her children, Richard George, Edwin Hardee, Diane Genice, and Gwenda Lynn; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many devoted family members and friends.
Turlington was born in Indian River County on July 9, 1920, to Capt. Robert George and Clairissa Kitching Hardee, she was raised in her beloved city of Sebastian.
She swam in the ocean and fished the river. She skated the sidewalks and danced with her friends.
She married R.E. Turlington in 1938 and they raised four children together.
She was preceded in death by many by many of her loved ones and they were there to welcome this kind, strong, beautiful soul into Heaven, which will now ring with her laughter and the lively rhythm of her piano playing.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 13, at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Sebastian Cemetery. An online guestbook is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
