VERO BEACH — A Vero Beach man faces charges of trafficking cocaine, possession of Xanax, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition by a convicted felon, according to the Vero Beach Police Department.

Jamaal Edwards, 30, was arrested in the 800 block of 19th Street in Vero Beach, Friday around 11 p.m., according to authorities.

The Vero Beach Police Special Investigation Unit executed a warrant at the location and found Edwards in one of the bedrooms, according to the report.

Det. Van Dhuynslager saw a clear plastic bag lying on the bed in the room where Edwards was located. Four grams of marijuana, weighed with the packaging, was found inside of the bag along with a half of a Xanax pill.

A digital scale was also located on the window ledge.
