Spring Band Concert at Vero Beach High May 15

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach High School Band Department presents the Spring Concert on Thursday, May 15, at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th Street.

Featuring the Superior Rated Symphonic and Jazz Bands, the performance will be led by Mr. James Sammons and Mr. Page Howell.

Some selections will include traditional tunes such as Variations on a Korean Folk Song by John Barnes Chance and Cajun Folk Songs by Frank Ticheli in addition to classical works by Gustav Holst and the Overture to “Candide” by Leonard Bernstein.

The Jazz Band will perform “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square” and “500 Miles High” arranged by Mark Taylor as well as arrangements by Sammy Nestico.

All Seating is Reserved. Tickets are $10 for the Upper Mezzanine level and $12 for the Lower Orchestra level.
