Betty Jean Blacketer, 81, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 7, 2014.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Ed) Young, Cynthia (Craig) Bailey; grandchildren, Krystal (Tom) Ragle, Jamey (Monica) Young; and great-grandchildren, Sally Young, Khloe Ragle, Josie Ragle and Leah Young.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph L. Blacketer.
Blacketer was born in Indianapolis, Ind., and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 15 years coming from Lafayette, Ind., formally of Linden, Ind.
Prior to retirement she worked as a clerk at Square Corner Hardware and as a bookkeeper for Skelton-Skinner in Linden, Ind. She was a member of King’s Baptist in Vero Beach, and a former member at Faith Church in Lafayette, Ind. She enjoyed time with family and cards with friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 9, at the Gazebo at Midway Estates, 1950 S. US Highway 1, Vero Beach, FL 32962. Memorial donations may be made to: VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32690.
