Philip Conte, 85, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 21, 2014.
He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth (Tammy) Conte, and Robert Conte; brother, Marcello Conte (Maria); sister, Marie Glenn; give grandchildren, Andrew, Nicholas, Ariana, Gillian and Emily.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen in 2006.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., he lived in Springfield, N.J. and Toms River, N.J. before moving to Vero Beach.
Conte was a US Army Korean War veteran. He was a part owner of Conte’s Deli in Springfield, N.J., and later worked at Multi Chevrolet in Union, N.J.
He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge 1585, Mountainside, N.J.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
