INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A student was struck by a car this morning while crossing the street to board the bus, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
The 17-year-old student was hit by a car in the 4200 block of 58th Avenue, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue. The student was then transported by ground to a trauma center.
The medical helicopters were grounded this morning because of fog.
The identity of the student was not released.
