Arthur Roderick ‘Rod’ Chute, Vero Beach

Arthur Roderick ‘Rod’ Chute, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 21, 2014.

He was born in Boston, Mass., raised in Newton Highlands and came to Vero Beach in 1985.

After Rivers Country Day School where he goal tended at ice hockey and the University of Maine, he served with the ROTC in New Jersey where he met his wife Dolores Keller.

They raised their three children, Edmund Austin Chute, Robin Marie Chute, and Lois Linda Chute.

He was project engineer of radar and sonar projects between the Spanish Navy and Washington, D.C. for 10 years. He was a loving and generous gentleman who lived life to the fullest, traveling, boating, and golfing.

He took great pride in his granddaughter Olivia and her musical talent. He will be greatly missed. He belonged Echo Lake Golf Club in Westfield, N.J., Bay Head Yacht Club in New Jersey, and was a member of John’s Island Club for 26 years.

A memorial service will be held in Park City, Utah for family.
