VERO BEACH – The Corporate and Community Training Institute at Indian River State College is offering A.C.T. and S.A.T. preparation workshops to provide students planning to take either of these tests with a better understanding of how to complete them more successfully with the best results possible.
The S.A.T. Preparation Workshop is offered Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The A.C.T. Preparation Workshop will be offered Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Both workshops will be at the IRSC Mueller Campus in Vero Beach, and the cost for each workshop is $139.
Students completing the S.A.T. workshop will have a better understanding of how to successfully complete the S.A.T. math, critical reading, writing and essay sections.
Those who take the A.C.T. workshop will have a better understanding of how to successfully complete the A.C.T. English, math, reading, science and essay sections.
The instructor for both the S.A.T. and A.C.T. preparation workshops will be Lynda Sloan Allen, Academic Coach/Tutor and owner of Make Your Mark in Life. Allen has both a Masters’ and Bachelor’s degree in Exceptional Student Education from the University of Miami, and has been a teacher for more than 30 years.
For the past 6-plus years, Allen has empowered hundreds of high school students to achieve entrance exams scores that lead them to the college/career of their choice.
The S.A.T. and A.C.T. preparation workshops will be held at the IRSC Mueller Campus at 6155 College Lane in Vero Beach.
