Ethel M. Weidman Bratton, 97, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 17, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan B. (Keith) Taylor; son, Stephen W. Bratton; brother, Thomas Weidman; sister, Ruth Stevens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, in 1974, William James Bratton; two brothers and two sisters.
She was born in 1917 in Detroit, Mich., and lived in Vero Beach for the past 32 years, coming from the Chicago area.
Bratton was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, decorating, reading, gardening and painting. She was a past member of the Vero Beach Garden Club and volunteered at the Center for the Arts of Vero Beach.
She was a 1980 graduate of the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Ill.
Her family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to her long time caregiver, Regina Bartee, who treated her like her own family.
Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. No services are planned. Interment will take place at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
