INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Willow is a 2-year-old female, pointer mix who was brought to the Humane Society as a stray just over a month ago.
During her stay at the shelter, Willow has participated in the Humane Society’s “Train to Adopt” program in which volunteers spend time with the dogs teaching them how to be obedient, so they are that much more prepared for a smooth transition into a new home.
According to Jason Jarman, one of the volunteers in the “Train to Adopt” program, Willow is one of the best students. She has learned to sit for attention, she sits and stays when a door is opened, and she can retrieve a tennis ball.
Willow loves to play and interact, but she also knows when it is time to relax and rest. Willow is looking for a family who will play when it’s time to play and snuggle when it’s time to snuggle.
Contact the Humane Society of Vero Beach at (772) 388-3331, or drop by for a visit, 6230 77th St., off 58th Avenue, for more information on Willow and other pets for adoption.
