Genealogical Society to discuss online search tools

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River Genealogical Society will host George G. Morgan, who will speak at its regular monthly meeting on April 8.

The meeting will be held in the first floor conference room of the Indian River County Main Library, 1600 21st St., Vero Beach.

The business meeting will convene at 9:30 a.m. followed by refreshments and Morgan’s presentation will begin at 10:30 a.m.

The meeting is free and open to the public.

Morgan is president of Aha! Seminars, Inc., and an internationally recognized genealogy expert. He is the prolific author of hundreds of articles for magazines, journals, newsletters, in genealogical publications and at online sites. The third edition of his bestselling tenth book, How to Do Everything: Genealogy, was published in 2012.

He and Drew Smith have co-authored, Advanced Genealogy Research Techniques, published by McGraw-Hill in August 2013 and it leads the genealogy sales charts at Amazon.com.

Morgan and Smith are the co-hosts of The Genealogy GuysSM Podcast at http://genealogyguys.com , the longest running genealogical podcast, with thousands of listeners around the globe.

This program will appeal to beginners and advanced family history researchers as popular online websites are revealed and demonstrated. Most people do a large percentage of their genealogical research online and Morgan will offer suggestions to make their searches more effective.
