INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Make sure to save the date – Monday, March 24, 2014. That’s when The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County will be holding its annual Cause for Paws gala at the elegant Moorings Club in Vero Beach.
The evening will begin with cocktails and a silent auction at 6 p.m. followed by a buffet dinner and live auction at 7 p.m.
A few of the live auction highlights include the opportunity to name a character in an upcoming book by famed local author Leslie McGuirk, a stylish golf cart that’s street legal, a gourmet dinner for 10 prepared in your home and three days and two nights at the lovely El Dorado Hotel in Santa Fe, N.M.
This year’s Cause for Paws event is being co-chaired by animal advocates Sheila Marshall and Bonnie Spitzmiller. Tickets are $200 per person with all proceeds benefiting the animals of Indian River County.
