Francis Willard Whitehead, 67, of Sebastian, passed away on March 13, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Patsy A. Fisher-Whitehead; step-son, Ty Fisher (Laura); granddaughter, Amanda Fisher; daughters, Sherry Zeigler and Christy Fryman; grandson; Jarrett Sellers; sisters, Carol McMillan and Patsy Mackereth; and brother, David Whitehead.
Whitehead was born in Winchester, Va., and lived in Sebastian coming from Greencastle, Penn.
He was a graduate of Clear Spring High School in Clearspring, Md.
He was a member of United Church of Sebastian.
Whitehead was a holder of 46 freshwater fishing hall of fame records for various species. He was founder and charter member of the Maryland Bass Federation, member of the freshwater hall fame, and life member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society. He hosted the Tightlines fishing show, was the recipient of 350 local State and National fishing awards, and was active during hunting season looking for the best buck.
He was the special events manager for Keystone Ford in Chambersburg, Penn., which greatly supported the Troops. He was also active in Grace United Church with the March of Dimes and other charity events. He enjoyed pen and ink artwork that would be used for fundraising or gifts to family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at United Church of Sebastian followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ryan Maschhoff and Rev. Gary R. Moore, officiating. Reception will follow in the hall.
