VERO BEACH — The Silver Tones Chorus Group of the Senior Resource Association presents their spring concert as the ‘All American Canteen’ 1940’s dinner, dance and performance. The event will take place on March 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the McAfee Hall at First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.
Attendees will enjoy an all American barbeque dinner, a dance floor and a show featuring music from the 1940’s. Guests will be brought back to one of the greatest eras of our time and reminisce with songs like “Blueberry Hill,” “I Love You for Sentimental Reasons,” and “Oh What a Beautiful Morning.”
The performance will be conducted by Silver Tones Director Jacob Craig, current Director of Music and Arts at First Presbyterian Church and will feature guest artist performances by “The Accidentals Swing Band” and “The Dolls” singing group from Vero Beach.
The Silver Tones Chorus, a Senior Resource Association program that began in 2007, was created to give older adults a fun and meaningful musical outlet that encourages their unique talents, and provides a service to our community.
The chorus is sponsored by the Leo and Peggy Pierce Family Foundation. All proceeds from the concert benefit SRA to continue providing services to seniors in Indian River County.
A special thank you to the Leo and Peggy Pierce Family Foundation for their generous support each year.
