INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Commissioner Bob Solari requested to pull an item on the Board’s consent agenda regarding room renovations at Historic Dodgertown.
In October last year, the Board awarded a bid to OAC Action Construction Corp., for the project. The original bid was for the renovation of 66 rooms for $599,345.
Since the original contract, the bid has increased $15,000 because of an unforeseen need to add fire rated materials between the shower stalls and adjoining rooms.
After Solari pulled the item, the Board immediately entered a vote to approve the restorations at the new cost. The Board approved the new contract 4-1 with Commissioner Solari dissenting.
