UPDATE: Driver involved in I-95 crash caught after fleeing

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The driver that fled the scene of an earlier accident on Interstate 95 has been apprehended, according to Sgt. Eric Flowers, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office.


INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A vehicle has crossed over the median and hit another at mile marker 151 on Interstate 95, according to authorities.

Two vehicles were involved with moderate damage.

One vehicle fled the scene and authorities caught up to it, according to emergency frequencies. It was reportedly “limping” southbound with heavy front end damage and two front flat tires.

The driver reportedly fled into the woods after the car stopped and authorities are searching for the person.

Indian River Fire Rescue is currently responding.
