INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — From now through the end of the month, customers at Macy’s Vero Beach location at the Indian River Mall can donate $1 or more at the register, with 100 percent of the donations benefiting McKee Botanical Garden.
McKee has been selected for “Heart Your Park,” a program introduced as part of Macy’s “Secret Garden” campaign that aims to raise awareness and dollars for local parks and green spaces across the country.
Macy’s will match the total customer donation across all stores, dollar for dollar, up to $250,000.
McKee Botanical Garden is one of more than 550 parks nationwide that will benefit from Macy’s “Heart Your Park” this spring.
In partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association, the national non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of community parks, recreation and conservation, Macy’s stores across the country have each selected a local park or green space in their community to support through the program.

“Heart Your Park” is part of Macy’s “Secret Garden” spring campaign that will come to life at Macy’s stores and on macys.com with an infusion of garden-inspired merchandise, special promotions and events.

McKee Botanical Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to nurture and enhance a historic garden in a unique tropical setting for the education, enjoyment and enrichment of all. McKee Botanical Garden is located at 350 US 1 in Vero Beach. General admission rates are $12 adults, $11 seniors and $5 children ages 3 to 12. Admission is free for members and children under 3.
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Noon to 5 p.m. The Garden is closed Mondays.
