Junior League presents ‘Whale of Sale’ March 15 in Vero Beach

VERO BEACH — Spring forward to the return of the Junior League of Indian River’s Whale of a Sale. On Saturday, March 15, the Whale of Sale will feature an array of items for purchase from individual donors, Active and Sustainer League members, and businesses that may donate items to the League.

The event will be held at The Heritage Center, 2140 14th Ave., Vero Beach, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free, and payment for items is cash only.

Whale of a Sale will have something for everyone: Children and adult clothing, toys, collectibles, books, home decor, furniture, raffle prizes, and more.

“We are pleased to bring back this event to our community. In the past it was enjoyed by so many, and produced needed funds to assist local not-for-profit organizations, and League initiatives and programs within our community. There will be something for everyone to enjoy,” said Michelle Servos, President of the League.

“I am so excited to be Chairing this event this particular year. As we bring back Whale of a Sale, we hope for a big turn out and lots of interest. Having participated in Junior League attic sales or rummage sales in the past, I was excited to get involved, and have pulled a great committee together to make it a big success,” said Mary Chavers, Chair of the Whale of a Sale.

The Whale of a Sale is one of the League’s key annual fundraising events. Brought back by popular demand, the Whale of a Sale is an event that the community looks forward to, so get there early and grab some great items.

Funds from the Sale are returned to the community via the projects and services offered by the League throughout Indian River County. The Junior League of Indian River identifies needs within the community and develops projects, and programs that address those needs.

Special thanks to in-kind sponsors: Glendale Mini Storage, Community Cornerstones with Neda Heeter, and Squared Studios Design and Advertising.
