VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach High School Concert, Symphonic and Jazz Bands will perform American Heroes the 21st Annual Red, White & Blue Concerts on Sunday, March 9, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Monday, March 10, at 7 p.m. in the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center.
With a special tribute to Henry Mancini, the music of John Philip Sousa, and arrangements reflecting on Gettysburg and the fallen heroes of the Vietnam War, it is “The Patriotic Event of the Year!”
Some tunes heard will provide historical references including Rushmore, Upon these Grounds and of course, the traditional Marches of the Armed Forces, and Stars and Stripes Forever.
The performances include more than 200 Award Winning Indian River County student musicians led by James Sammons and Page Howell and a portion of the proceeds will benefit local Veterans Charities.
General admission seating is $12 per person and Veterans tickets are $6 each. The VBHS Band is also offering a $20 VIP ticket that includes a private reception and priority seating. Call (772) 564-5537 for tickets.
