She is also survived by her brother, Robert Fromm (Peggy); sister, Anne Fromm Forbes; and nieces and nephews, Vanessa, Leslie, Robert, Peter, Michael, Susan, Robert and Lisa.
Lowell grew up in Plandome, N.Y. She had a way of making everyone around her feel important. She was always nearby for an encouraging word or an extra hug. She was an excellent listener and problem solver, wanting to bring forth the goodness in others.
She will be remembered by the many lives she touched and will remain in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be greatly missed. Her warmth and genuine desire to help others knew no bounds and led to a life of volunteerism.
Her commitment in making her community a better place for all who lived in Indian River County, and beyond, was exemplified in her work with numerous charitable organizations.
Lowell’s love of animals led to her adoption of many rescue dogs throughout her life.
She enjoyed many sports and was an excellent golfer. She was named club champion at various clubs and was a current or previous member of Riomar Country Club, John’s Island Club, Orchid Island Club, Quail Valley Golf & River Club, Hawk’s Nest, as well as other clubs on Long Island, N.Y., and in Fort Lauderdale, throughout her life.
She loved all forms of dance and learned to tap dance as a form of exercise in her later years. Her love of healthy living and nature accounted for her vegetable and herb gardens, and the species exotic and native trees and plants surrounding her home.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Michaela Scott for her devoted care of and loving friendship to Carole.
Services will be held at Christ By the Sea United Methodist Church located at 3755 Highway A1A, in Vero Beach, on March 9, at 1:30 p.m.
