Vero Beach City Council approves Marina-Park rezoning

VERO BEACH – City Council conducted a final public hearing on an ordinance rezoning 17.35 acres of current marina district land to park district, voting to approve in a 5-0 vote.

The property contains Bob Summers Park, a designated dog park, the Indian River County Volunteer Ambulance facility, the Riverhouse, and boat ramp and launch facilities unofficially referred to as MacWilliam Boat Ramp, according to the official documentation.

Rezoning the property does not prohibit the land to future marina expansion.
