Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches receives Dyer Difference Award

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Dyer Chevrolet and Dyer Mazda Subaru are pleased to announce the 68th recipient of the Dyer Difference Award. This award salutes a non-profit organization in Indian River County that is truly making a difference in our community. Dyer Chevrolet and Dyer Mazda Subaru presented the Dyer Difference Award along with a $3,000 check to the recipient The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.

The Sheriff’s Office intention is to raise money and focus on the positive work the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches has been doing since 1957. The FSYR provides a statewide network of residential child care facilities, camping programs and community based counseling service to Florida’s needy, neglected youth.

The Dyer Difference Award will go to support the 18th annual Florida Sheriffs Youth Fundraiser BBQ to be held March 5 from 2-7 p.m.

“We thank the Dyers for once again helping us help these kids,” Sheriff Deryl Loar said.
