William Austin, 94, of Fellsmere, passed away on Feb. 26, 2014.
He is survived by his three daughters, Joy Walker, Bonnie (Michael) McCall, and Wendy (Dan Goulet) Austin; six grandchildren, Jesse Elliott, Lynn Shaprus, Brad Elliot, Ryan McCall, Emily (Nic) Secoy, and William McCall; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Ann Tucker Austin.
Austin was born on May 26, 1919 in Newark, N.J., and he moved to Fellsmere 35 years ago from Hallandale, Fla.
He worked as an aircraft mechanic for Eastern Airlines after serving in the Navy during WWII.
Austin was a musician and had a passion for playing the drums.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Fountainhead Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at Fountainhead Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the City of Fellsmere, Attn: Larry Napier at 22 S. Orange St., Fellsmere, FL 32948 for the Trailhead Preserve in memory of William L. Austin.
