SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian River Art Club presented its 16th Annual Juried Art Show on Feb. 15 and 16, judged by renowned Vero Beach artist Deborah Gooch.
There were 34 exhibitors over the 2-day period, and exhibitors enjoyed record attendance and sales.
“It was a difficult decision,” said Judge Deborah Gooch, “there were so many wonderful pieces on display.”
Ribbons were presented as follows:
Watercolor –
- 1st place Judy McNamara for “Bamboo,”
- 2nd place Mary Rahmig for “Lilac Memories,”
- 3rd Place Ann Marwick for “Pin-Up”;
Oil –
- 1st place Grace Savage for “Wading,”
- 2nd place Ray McLendon for “Peaceful Ocean,”
- 3rd place Shirley Warwick for “Parachuters”;
Acrylic –
- 1st place Ned Nolan for “Vintage Florida,”
- 2nd place Lee G. Smith for “Florida River,”
- 3rd place Beve Bruffey for “Egret.”
Photography –
- 1st place Toni Hill for “Wave”;
3D –
- 1st place Ray Ground for “Snook on the Hook”;
Best in Show –
- Christopher Doomis for “Pelican Prince”;
Judge’s Choice –
- Kathleen Richter for her Acrylic “Brown Pelican.”
