VERO BEACH — Main Street Vero Beach, with the help of “The Jacks Band” and the Indian River State College Foundation, invite everyone to help illuminate the night at their first ever Spring Break “Glow in the Dark Party” at Downtown Friday on Feb. 28 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. along 14th Avenue in Historic Downtown Vero.
Made possible with the help of Budweiser, The Breeze 93.7, and J&J Management, the luminous concert will feature an assortment of creative street merchants, food vendors, special entertainment during the band breaks, and more.
The Jacks Band is a Vero Beach-based, four piece classic rock band with a 10-piece band sound. With Sam Masiello playing bass and singing, Kevin Emerald laying down powerful drums and percussion as well as strong tenor harmonies, Ed Karwatske playing synthesized horns and strings and at the same time laying down B3 organ and piano tracks and Craig Bower’s powerful vocal and singing guitar lines – their sound is explosive.
Main Street’s monthly “Featured Charity” is the Indian River State College (IRSC) Foundation, which, since 1965, has been enhancing access and quality of education for IRSC students. A partner in building a better community, the Foundation offers scholarships for deserving students, ensures excellence in teaching with instructional support and professional development, and enhances learning environments with new and improved facilities and equipment.
Coming March 28 to Downtown Friday is the first ever “Sock Hop” with great ‘50s and ‘60s music and muscle cars from the era. Anyone interested in displaying their vintage vehicle are asked to call AACA-IRR member Karl Steene at (772) 234-7870 for details.
