LETTER: Keep covering the IRMC circumstances

You are doing the right thing by presenting the IRMC circumstances in your paper. It is apparent that the IRMC Board is not accountable to its constituency. Therefore, you must be, in lieu of them, for the people of the community.

I am appalled at the apparent arrogance of the IRMC executive staff. I am dismayed with their performance ranging from inadequate staffing, lack of fiscal accountability and transparency, and disappointing medical metrics.

The Board needs to be repositioned with people of competency who possess a skill set mix that is suitable for contemporary healthcare oversight.

Top management needs to be replaced, first with an interim third party expert as CEO, who can take charge, implement change, and hire a staff that will elevate IRMC to the upper quartile of hospital performance metrics in America.

Signed,

Snowbird Larry
