Janet Van Arsdale Shaw, 88, formerly of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 15, 2014.
She is survived by her three children Peter, Douglas, and Ann; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
She was born in Ridgewood, N.J. and lived in Vero Beach from 1988 until she moved to Philadelphia in 2011. After she graduated from Wellesley College in 1948, she worked at Town & Country in New York until she was married to George Shaw in 1952 and moved to So Paulo, Brazil. She lived and brought up her family in Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, and the Bahamas, before moving to the Baltimore area.
A private service is planned for family members in Interlaken, N.Y. Arrangements are by Swartz Givnish Funeral Home, Newtown, Penn.
