Dr. Robert A. Clowater, 89, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 19, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jean L. Clowater; children, Ann Miller, Robert G. Clowater, Cathy (Steve) Kueffner, Joan (David) Payne, Linda (Sean) Hilbert and Lorna (Bob) Coury; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister and four brothers.
He was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Moncton, New Brunswick. He graduated in medicine from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia and was a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He later worked as the Hospital Administrator and Medical Director of North Shore Hospital in North Muskegon and Saginaw Community Hospital in Michigan.
In 1987, Dr. Clowater retired from practice and resided at Higgins Lake, Mich., and in Vero Beach.
