INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — After allegedly damaging another woman’s car with concrete blocks and dumping laundry detergent and lotion over the front seats, Charity Boatwright, 23, attempted to run over her victim, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim reported the incident, backed up by witnesses, just after 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, in the 700 block of 8th Mannor, within Pemberly Palms Apartments, according to authorities.
The victim told authorities Boatwright put concrete blocks on her vehicle and scratched the paint. Boatwright also went into the victim’s car without her permission and dumped powdered laundry detergent and squirted hand lotion onto the seats. The estimated damage was $2,000.
One witness said that Boatwright threw cinder blocks onto the top of two vehicles, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The victim attempted to hold Boatwright down until the Sheriff’s Office arrived, but she got away, according to the report. Boatwright then ran to her car and then attempted to “run down” the victim, according to a witness. Instead of hitting the victim, Boatwright hit her car.
Boatwright’s victim backed up between two cars to avoid being hit, according to authorities.
Boatwright faces charged of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony criminal mischief, and auto burglary. She is currently being held without bond.
What motivated Boatwright’s alleged attack was not immediately known.
