Patricia Ann Och, 71, of Sebastian, passed away on Feb. 15, 2014.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rich; sons, Duane, Shawn, and Keith; grandsons, Nathan and Jeremy; and brother, Paul.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ann Serbak.
Born in Braddock, Penn., Och graduated from Scott High School in 1960, studied music at Duquesne University, and studied for the Vincentian Sisters of Charity at La Roche College.
A church organist from the age of 13, she directed the choir from 1980 through 1997 at her home parish of St. John the Evangelists in Latrobe, Penn. She later played at St. Sebastian, in Sebastian, where she lived from 1997 until her death.
Och was a selfless, compassionate person who without fail, gave of herself, putting the needs of others ahead of her own. Among her many interests were music, animals, hiking, drawing, and traveling. She took great joy sharing in these and all the gifts of God’s creation with those around her. Above all, she devoted her life to God and her family. She will be missed immeasurably by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m., at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian.
