INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Destiny is a one-year-old, gentle and playful female cat, ready to be adopted as someone’s “personal assistant.”
“If you’re watching TV, she’s watching TV. If you’re on the computer, she’s on the computer,” said Humane Society volunteer, Paula Snyder. “That’s what categorize’s her as a personal assistant.”
Destiny is a black and white Tuxedo cat with a petite frame. She loves to chase feathers and rope and is all around a laid back, relaxed cat who just wants some attention.
Five months ago, Destiny’s owner surrendered her without a reason, and she has been hanging out in one of the Humane Society’s cat rooms ever since.
Though she lives with the other cats just fine, she does not prefer to mix with them.
“If she could be the only cat in the home, that would be her dream,” Snyder said.
“I just know that if she went to a private home, she would spend time sitting on your lap,” Snyder added. “She’s a very quiet girl, but she likes to play with people.”
Snyder has been getting to know Destiny since she came to the Humane Society. She will assure anyone looking to adopt a cat, even though Destiny is looking for a little attention herself, “she will definitely give back as much as she receives.”
