INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Interested in learning how to give Rover a relaxing rub down at home? Then head over to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at noon for a free one hour workshop on how to “Stretch Your Dog Healthy.”
The shelter’s featured presenter is certified canine therapeutic massage therapist Adriana Halpern from Heal the Dog Canine Massage and Bodywork. Halpern will be discussing the benefits of massage therapy for dogs and will also be demonstrating gentle muscle manipulation techniques that any pet parent can perform to help their favorite canines overcome stiffness, pain and stress.
Guests are asked to leave their dogs at home for this presentation but will be provided with stuffed animals so they may practice demonstrated techniques.
A question and answer session will follow.
Halpern’s demonstration will be held at the shelter’s Adoption and Education Building located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach. “Stretch Your Dog Healthy” is free and open to the public but attendees are asked to reserve seating by calling the shelter at (772) 388-3331 ext. 18.
