SEBASTIAN — Precious has been resting and recuperating under the watchful eye of H.A.L.O. staff for the last year and now she is fully ready for adoption.
“She was brought in to us because she could no longer be used for hunting. She was used for hog hunting and she lost her eye in the process,” said Jacque Petron, founder of H.A.L.O. Rescue.
H.A.L.O. spent the year doctoring up Precious’ many wounds and is now hoping that a loving, caring family will welcome her into a friendly, warm, and safe home.
She is a 5-year-old, black and white Collie mix with likely some Border Collie, according to Petron.
Her eye has been fixed surgically and she can see perfectly out of her remaining blue eye.
Petron said Precious would do best as an only dog. She gets along well with other dogs on walks and in social situations, but should probably fly solo at home.
Petron said, “staff at H.A.L.O. named her ‘Precious’ because she’s such a sweet girl.
