Harvest’s Sizzling Hot Soiree slated for Feb. 8

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Honorary Chairs Paul and Jayne Becker recently announced that Harvest Food & Outreach Center would host its inaugural winter gala on Feb. 8.

Sweethearts seeking a sizzling hot soiree for an early Valentine’s Day celebration will find that the “Paint the Night Red” Gala fits the bill as the hottest ticket in town.

Making a special Vero Beach appearance, Laura Vivas accompanied by Remix, will sweep guests to their feet.

Best known for her performances as a favorite contestant on the 2012 season of “The Voice,” Vivas possesses an exceptional range with an extraordinary vocal quality that is ideal for the melodic delivery of the top love songs of all time.

Oak Harbor Club in Vero Beach will be transformed into a lover’s lane of delights for this unique engagement. Guests are encouraged to dress as dazzling as they desire (black tie optional).

The festivities, from 6:30-10:30 p.m., kick off with a social reception, silent auction and complimentary “Glam Cam” keepsake photos followed by dinner, dancing and a live auction of unique items that will take your breath away.

Live auction items include: “A Week of Skiing for 10” at Steamboat Grand Hotel in Steamboat Springs, Colo.; “Paint the Night Red Pendant” created by Princess Jewelers in Washington, D.C.; “Romantic Getaway in Paradise” at The Crane in Barbados; “Red Hot Sports Package” featuring VIP tickets and access to Miami Heat vs. Houston Rockets on March 16; and “Once in a Lifetime Elephant Center Tour” at the National Elephant Center.

A prize drawing for a two-year pre-paid lease on a red-hot 2014 C-250 Sport Mercedes Benz, donated by Mercedes-Benz of Fort Pierce, will be held at the Gala. A donation of $50 per prize ticket is recommended.

Prize drawing to be held at gala on Feb. 8. Need not be present at drawing to win – Harvest staff and family members are not eligible to participate.
