INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Henry is a six-year-old Dachshund who was found as a stray in Vero Beach. He is currently residing at the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County.
Henry is described as being “a real gentleman,” said Janet Winikoff, director of education at the Humane Society.
Another staff member called Henry “a cuddle muffin” while two others described him as “being just adorable.”
“All volunteers seem to love him and he is very motivated by food,” Winikoff said.
She added, reinforcing training with food would be a successful way to continue training Henry.
“When he came in, he was sick,” Winikoff said. “But he’s received antibiotics and medical care and now he’s in great shape, even though it’s flu season!”
Henry has been at the Humane Society for over three weeks and is looking for a permanent home.
