Joseph Donald Brady, 84, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 26, 2013.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn; daughter, Donnalynn Shirey Lader (Royce); sons, Kevin Joseph Brady (Suzanne), James Michael Brady (Eileen), and John Francis Brady; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was born Sept. 17, 1929, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Vero Beach in 1997. Brady was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church where he was an appointed member of the parish council. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of the Korean War.
He worked for IBM for 25 years in various assignments throughout the country. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1951 and served as Grand Knight as well as Faithful Navigator of the 4th degree.
A memorial service was held in Vero Beach at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church on Dec. 9.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in memory of Joseph Donald Brady.
