SEBASTIAN — Sebastian City Council approved four items on its consent agenda on Wednesday’s meeting, and added a bonus perk for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life event.
The Relay For Life event will be held from 6 p.m. on Friday, May 9 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 10 in Riverview Park. The Council approved the hire of extra duty police officers and use of the City Stage.
Temporary road closures including Sebastian Boulevard from near the Hess Station entrance east to Indian River Drive and Harrison Street from the parking entrance east to Indian River Drive, were also approved.
The American Cancer Society will receive a half-off discount on the city’s park use fee.
A separately approved item on the consent agenda, the Council accepted the budget calendar for preparation of the Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Annual Budget and Capital Improvements Program.
