VERO BEACH — The 7th Annual Indian River Habitat for Humanity HabiTrot to Higher Education, presented by Girard Equipment, Inc., will take place Saturday, March 29, at South Beach Park, starting with sign up at 7 a.m.
This year, the popular 5K Run/Walk event has added a 10K, part of the Kickstart Endurance Series. Both races are USTAF-certified. The event includes a HabiDash for kids 12 and under.
Participants can pick up their race day info packet Thursday, Mar. 27, and Friday, Mar. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Runner’s Depot of Vero, 436 21st St. (Miracle Mile.)
Awards will be presented to Top Finishers Overall, top 3 male and top 3 female in each age group in both the 5K and 10K races.
Age group categories are: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; and 80 and over.
Entry fees:
10K – Early registration through Feb.14, $30; Registration Feb. 15 through March 28, $35; Day of Race, March 29, $37.
5K – Early registration through Feb. 14, $25; Registration Feb. 15 through March 28, $30; Day of Race, March 29, $32.
HabiDash – $10

Funds raised will support Habitat’s program for children of Habitat homeowners.
The Indian River Habitat for Humanity Scholarship Fund was formed to help give Habitat homeowners and their children a chance at higher education.
This fund helps to provide educational after school care and summer care by subsidizing costs of these services, and grants scholarships for students and homeowners who are headed to either college or post secondary educational programs.
