VERO BEACH — Biology classes from Indian River Charter High School will be taking a field trip to the West Regional Water Treatment Plant. We are in need of individuals interested in educating incredible, young people about the wildlife, especially the birds in this area.
The dates are Wednesday, Jan. 22 and Friday, Jan. 24 starting at 8:15 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m.
These students are really a wonderful group of people. Some are interested in the facility out there; some are interested in the wildlife. Of course, some are just interested in having a field trip. However, this is our opportunity to possibly open their eyes to the environment around us.
Students will have chaperones with them, even though it is usually the students who take care of the chaperones. These students are held to a higher standard than in many other places. So, in turn, we get superior individuals.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could give your time to point out the various birds in that area.
