INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Salvation Army of Indian River County received $103,255 in red kettle donations this past Christmas season. It’s the 5th year in a row of going over $100,000.
The pocket change from the community made the difference. The generosity of Indian River County came through during a tough economic time to help The Army “Do The Most Good” this holiday season.
“The Red Kettle Campaign is the major fundraiser for The Salvation Army and helps to support all our programs for the entire 2014 year,” said John Corapi, Director of Development with the Salvation Army of IRC.
The Salvation Army is only as successful as its generous donors and community members allow it to be. Without the help and support of this community, we would never have been able to increase our totals each year.
A huge thank you goes out to our kettle sponsors: Jack FM, Velde Ford, Mayflower Society, Vero Beach Christian Business Assoc., SpringHill Suites, Christian FM, Ocean FM, FPL, The Crockett Group, and The Vero Beach Rotary Charities Foundation, along with all the individuals who followed the sponsors’ lead by making donations to the Red Kettle Campaign during the past six weeks.
A special thank you goes out to the Indian River County Sheriffs Department.
