INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Due to unforeseen expenses regarding the West Wabasso Sewer and Drainage Improvements funded by the Community Development Block Grant, the Indian River Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to reduce the number of water and sewer hook-ups and related beneficiaries listed in the original application.
County staff recommended the Commission approve the reduction of hook-ups, saying all other forms of funding for the remaining hook-ups have been exhausted.
The reduction could lead to penalties on the County’s next grant application.
Upon the Commission’s approval, Phase 1 of construction on the project will be closed out and Phase 2 will begin.
