VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach City Council unanimously approved a $143,700, three-year agreement with Treasure Coast Construction Management LLC, for general cleaning and maintenance of Vero Beach city beaches.
Faith Construction Corp, the former beach clean-up contract holder asked to end its agreement with the city due to equipment concerns and Treasure Coast Construction Management will take its place.
The newly contracted company will be responsible for the upkeep of city beaches for six hours a day, five days a week. Turtle nesting season will be the exception, during which the company will tend to the beaches three days per week.
The decision was made at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
