Richard Norman Beck, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Beck was born in Swampscott, Mass., and he raised his family in Charlton, Mass., before moving to Vero Beach in 1987 with his late wife Gloria.
Beck was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy aboard the USS McCord.
He retired from MA Electric after 36 years of service.
Beck was a member of First Church of God in Vero Beach and was an avid golfer and card player.
Survivors include daughters Debra Ross and (Richard A. Ross), of Brookfield, Mass., and Sheryl St. Laurent (Gerard Dumont), of Webster, Mass.; six grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
Beck was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Beck and their son Richard Beck.

A memorial service was held at the First Church of God, Vero Beach, on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 10 a.m.
A memorial service will take place in Massachusetts at later date.
