VERO BEACH — The source of the unknown odor that caused the evacuation of a medical facility yesterday was from cleaning agents left open in a store room, according to Indian River County Fire Rescue. The work being performed by air conditioning company circulated odor throughout the building.
It was non-toxic, according to authorities, but did cause four people to be treated treated on scene for throat irritations and two were transported to local a local hospital for related issues.
The evacuation happened yesterday around noon at the 787 37th St. in Vero Beach.
