Children’s Weekly Programs at Indian River County libraries

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Library is hosting children’s weekly programs from Jan. 6 through May 17.

On Monday mornings at the North Indian River County Library at 10:30 a.m., they will be hosting Toddler Time for 18 months to 3 year olds, and also at 10:30 a.m. is Pre-School Story Time for 3-5 year olds.

Another Monday morning activity at the main library from 10-11 a.m. is Baby Sign Language. This is an informal class for infants through 2 years old that teaches the basics of functional sign language through songs and rhymes.

The North Indian River County Library holds this class on Thursdays at 10 a.m.

Kid-Fit is offered on Mondays as well at the North Indian River County Library from 10:30-11:15 a.m. This is a fun, physical fitness class for 3-6 year olds. Children must wear sneakers, comfortable clothes, and bring a filled water bottle.

The main library holds this class on Thursdays from 10-10:45 a.m.

The Lego Club will meet from 4-5 p.m. at the North Indian River County Library on Mondays. This is an informal build time for Lego enthusiasts in grades 1-5. Legos are provided; they must not bring any from home.

This very same group meets at the main library on Thursdays from 4-5 p.m.

On Tuesdays at the main library, Story Time will be held at 2 p.m. for 2-5 year olds.

Craft Hour will be held on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m. at the Gifford Library. There will be free craft and art projects for kindergarten through 5th graders.

Pajama Time will run from 6-7 p.m. at the Brackett Library on Tuesdays. There will be stories, games, and crafts for 5-10 year olds and their families. Pajamas are encouraged, but not required. Special guests are featured every third Tuesday.

The Brackett Library’s Story Time at 10 a.m. on Fridays will be for children 2-5 years old.

The Brackett Library is located on College Ln. in Vero Beach, while the main library is located at 1600 21st St. in Vero Beach.

The North Indian River County Library is located at 1001 Sebastian Blvd. in Sebastian.
