INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Authorities are searching for a man they say robbed the TD Bank on US 1 in south Vero Beach Sunday afternoon.
Law enforcement officials say the robber passed a note to a teller seeking $4,000 in cash. He indicated he had a weapon but it was not displayed.
The suspect fled the bank on foot, heading east and then north. He was reported as being white, in his 40s, standing between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet tall, wearing a navy blue ball cap, a tan long sleeve shirt and dark colored pants. He has long, brown stringy hair that was pulled back but not in a ponytail.
TD Bank is located at 1238 US 1, just north of 12th Street.
