Emmajean “Jean” Wilson Sundgren, 88, Vero Beach

Emmajean “Jean” Wilson Sundgren, 88, died Dec. 5, 2013 at her home in Vero Beach.

Sundgren was born in Lockport, N.Y., to Thomas and Hazel Wilson and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Syracuse, N.Y.

She went through the public School System in Lockport, N.Y., and later attended Michigan State University, Lansing, Mich.

Sundgren worked as a secretary for many years, most recently for the Marine Midland Bank, now HSBC, in Syracuse, N.Y., before her retirement.

She was a member of The Community Church, Vero Beach.

She served as a deacon at the Park Central Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, N.Y.

She was a volunteer in the emergency room at the Community General Hospital in Syracuse for many years.

Survivors include husband, Roy L. Sundgren, of Vero Beach; daughter, Carole Mosher, of Prairie Village, Kan.; brother Stanley Wilson, of Wilmington, N.C.; four granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.

Sundgren was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Mosher, brother, Roger Wilson and sister, Marilyn Wilson.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
