VERO BEACH — Please come and join Youth Guidance in celebrating the Christmas season at their holiday bowling parties for their group mentoring programs.
The festivities will be held at the Vero Bowl Lanes and Lounge on Dec. 16, 17, and 18 from 6-7:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed to enjoy pizza, holiday fun, and friendly competition with the youngsters.
Teen Group, YG Karate Kids, and the Girls Group, three of the Youth Guidance group mentoring programs, will be celebrating the holiday season on each of these dates.
Youngsters are also being rewarded for their consistent attendance, hard work, and dedication to group mentoring.
Bring in the holiday spirit by joining Youth Guidance at these festive events and help the kids have a memorable time. Through the generous support of our community, we are able to give our children an unforgettable holiday with many exciting programs and activities.
The mission of Youth Guidance, a United Way partner agency, is to empower Indian River County’s neediest youth through mentoring relationships, and broaden their horizons with educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities.
The agency is actively seeking volunteers to serve as mentors or periodic volunteers to participate in the variety of group mentoring programs and ongoing activities for children enrolled in the program, or to provide regular help in the office.
Youth Guidance is also looking for partnerships with businesses, service clubs, and church groups to pair with children for just one activity a year.
Individuals interested in volunteering or becoming a mentor should visit the website at www.YouthGuidanceProgram.org or call (772) 770-5040 for more information.
Expand your world, mentor a child; it’s fun, flexible & fulfilling.
