VERO BEACH — Saturday, Dec. 14, will mark the inaugurall White Glove Moving Food Drive to help stop hunger along the Treasure Coast this holiday season.
As Move for Hunger agents, White Glove Moving has been striving to make a big impact to end food insecurity amongst fellow residents. By offering free food boxes to those planning to move, White Glove Moving has been able to save hundreds of pounds of fare from being thrown away.
However, with the holidays fast approaching, White Glove team members knew they could make a bigger difference. They partnered up with the Sam’s Club of Vero Beach, located at the southeast corner of SR 60 and 58th Ave., to help accumulate much needed nonperishable food supply for the season.
Providing millions of pounds of food to more than 200 nonprofit agencies, the Treasure Coast Food Bank is the only food bank serving those in need from Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, and Okeechobee Counties.
In addition to food, Treasure Coast Food Bank provides programs that not only help solve the immediate problems of hunger, but help individuals and families gain long term food security.
From 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, look for the large moving truck and black collared shirts of the White Glove Moving team happily filling boxes outside of Sam’s Club in the north parking lot.
Whether you arrive to fill your gas tank that day or are coming out of the store with a cart full of food for your upcoming holiday feast, be sure to visit the many people donating their time and energy to help stock The Treasure Coast Food Bank pantry this holiday season.
